The General Data Protection Regulation - GDPR

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679 is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union. It comes into effect on 25th May 2018.

VSoft Technologies and GDPR

We are working though the necessary steps to ensure our compliance with GDPR.

VSoft Technologies will be GDPR compliant by the 25th May 2018.

What Personal Identifiable Information do we currently keep.

VSoft Technologies stores Personal Identifiable Information (PII) on our internal systems for the purposes of billing and license holder identification.

If you want access to your personal data, or to request we erase your personal data, or have any questions about how we handle your data, please contact us. Please note that some information may not be able to be deleted for legal reasons or financial compliance under Australian Tax Law.

Free trial users

For free trial users, we keep the following information :

  • Name
  • Email Address
  • Ip Address
  • Hardware derived Hash code - generated by the trial software.

 

The above information is stored for the purpose of enabling a free 30 day evaluation license of our software products. It is also shared with a third party(*) for the purpose of education and marketing. This is in the form of email news letters and periodical emails designed to help you make better use of our products.

Our products will be updated to allow explicit consent for this use.

 

Registered Website users

In order to post on our forums (for technical support purposes), users need to register on our website.

The following information is stored.

  • Login
  • Display Name (used when they post on the forums).
  • Email Address
  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Password (cryptographically hashed)

 

The Email Address, First Name and Last Name may be used in marketing emails sent through a third party service(*). Our website/store will be updated to request explict constent for this.

Customers

For Customers, we keep the following information (for the purpose of billing and license generation) :

  • Company Name
  • Contact Name
  • Email Addresses
  • Billing Address

 

The Email Address, First Name and Last Name are passed to a third party(**) for the purpose of billing.

GDPR and our Products

VSoft Technologies does not have any access to data stored by our products on customers/end users systems. Our products do not send any information (anonymous or identifying) to our systems, with one exception : downloading/installing license keys, where website credentials can be used to download a license key. This is done over an https connection, and is an optional method of license key installation.

FinalBuilder and Automise

FinalBuilder and Automise allow users to include PII in settings files and project files. Both products also allow the end user to customise the data accessed, and the code executed by them.

VSoft Technologies and it's staff do not have access to this information (PII or custom data). The customer is responsible for GDPR compliance of their systems.

Continua CI

Continua CI stores PII in the database it connects to. This is limited to :

  • Name
  • Email Addresses

 

Continua CI also allows the end user to customise the data accessed, and the code execute by it.

VSoft Technologies and it's staff do not have access to this information(PII or custom data). The customer is responsible for GDPR compliance of their systems.
